Friday Mixtape #52 - The Birthday Mix

Happy Birthday to the mixes!
Okay, well admittedly it's been over a year since I've started making the mixes, but this is the official 52nd mix making it the birthday mix. Boo-yeah. Also, since it's late, I've made it a double... 20 songs for your listening pleasures.

After this I won't be making the mixes quite every week. They've been really fun to do, but at the moment I have a few too many things on my plate making it nearly impossible to get them out... the fact that this mix is over 2 weeks late is the proof.

Friday Mixtape #51 - The Chills

This week, rejuvenated from a small break, I've been inspired but a lot of disco-y-electro-hip-pop. But with a certain down-played relaxed vibe running throughout at the same time. A diverse group of artists who all probably fancy dancing late into the night and sitting and talking until the sun rises.

I also have to thank my brother for introducing me to a few of these fun mashed-up tunes. Oh yeah, and of course included my own band's brand new track. Ha.

Delayed gratification...

I know I promised that I was nearly to the 52 weeks of mixtapes mark... and I was due to treat you with #51 on Friday, but the truth is, this week I have been lazily enjoying my home land of California. Much time in Santa Barbara was spent with family and friends so I felt they deserved my time more than the music. I'll be back with a bang next friday, the official release date of my band's next single, Don't Panic... which you can officially listen to on the mySpace.
